Japan: Know before you go
|
All passengers traveling to Japan are required to have a certificate of a negative COVID-19 test result at their departure
country before boarding. Those who do not have certifications that clearly indicate a valid specimen collection method,
testing method, and testing period will not be permitted entry into Japan. We will deny boarding if we cannot confirm a valid test certificate upon check-in so please be
sure to check off all items on the checklist before heading to the airport. |

Plastic-free is the way to be
|
In addition to plastic-free cutlery and straws, beginning August 2021, we will be introducing plastic-free meal trays
for Economy Class meals on international flights. The new meal trays are composed of bagasse, a biodegradable material
made from the waste fiber created when pressing sugarcane. By simply replacing these trays we can reduce disposable
plastic by 30 percent, which equates to approximately 317 tons! |

IATA Travel Pass Trial
|
We will be conducting a trial for the IATA Travel Pass on select Honolulu and New York City to Tokyo Haneda routes from
May 24 through June 6, 2021. Customers who volunteer to participate in the trial will have the opportunity to use the
IATA Travel Pass app to easily and securely verify whether their COVID-19 test result meets the health requirements of
their destination. As a benefit, participating customers will receive 1,000 ANA miles after completing
the post-check-in survey as well as receive discounts on their COVID-19 test at designated locations. |

Hands-free lavatory doors coming soon to an aircraft near you
|
21 of our Japan domestic aircraft will be equipped with the world's first hands-free lavatory doors! The new lavatory doors
have a large inner door locking knob and an additional handle so that passengers can use their elbows to unlock the
door. This update is a part of the ANA Care Promise initiative to reduce physical contact onboard the aircraft and
we hope to install these doors on all domestic and international aircraft in the future. |
